If you haven’t seen Frances Nelson’s stunning installation in South Lake Union yet, hurry on down! The installation will be de-installed next week to make way for a new work by Maja Petric. We recommend an after-sunset stroll to catch the work while it’s fully lit.
Frances Nelson is an architect and contemporary artist who has shown in Seattle, Rhode Island, and Florence, Italy. Using re-purposed chipboard and paper, Nelson has created a fabric-like lattice, site-specific to the South Lake Union window, that responds to the light, the street scene, and the built environment.
1010 Thomas Street, on the south side of the building (east window).
