Two Storefronts Auburn Projects Opening Soon!

Storefronts Auburn is excited to announce the launch of two new projects on Main Street! We’ll be inaugurating the program with a beautiful installation by artist Celeste Cooning and a bursting-at-the-seams art center run by Auburn Valley Creative Arts (AVCA).

Celeste Cooning
123 E Main Street, Auburn, Feb 15 – May 15

Celeste Cooning creates magical, 3-D environments out of paper. Experienced installing in a variety of environments, Cooning’s hand-crafted creations are site-specific and feature lighting that highlights and expands upon her work once the sun goes down. Huge tree fronds, fluttery botanical forms and a honeycombed hearts are just a few of the forms she’s worked with in the past.

AVCA is a non-profit composed of nearly 30 visual artists from in and around Auburn. Their motto says it all: Learn, Play, Create, Display. This energetic group will be transforming a vacant storefront into a space for artists to display work, hold classes, and CREATE! Those interested in participating are encouraged to look into 3 calls to artists that are currently available. For more information, email auburnartscoop@yahoo.com.
